The bonds of Intermarket Ltd Trade company were successfully placed, amounting 10 mln. UAH

The bonds of Intermarket Trade company of total value of 10 mln. UAH were placed by Optima Invest and OJSC Ukreximbank. Bond emission and placement will be discussed during a special seminar, Attracting investments through the emission of bonds. Sample case of Intermarket ltd., which will take place October 8 during the Investments Fair 2004 at a conference hall of the Lviv Hall of Arts at 2.30 PM.

The emission was announced on Sep. 22 and will continue till Nov. 5. The chief of control commission board at Intermarket Roman Shlapak comments: “We looked to a positive result of the operation, but could not expect such an increased interest.”

Optima Invest CEO Andriy Dribnyuk explains the result of successful bond placement: “First of all, appropriate emission parameters were set. Also, company image in the region as a leading retailer played a positive role”.

The chief of controlling center at Intermarket Ltd Trade company says that accelerated interest to Intermarket bond emission can be explained by the high demand in the market and proves high level of trust outside the company among the customers and financial market players.

Roman Shlapak is confident that the case of Intermarket will have a positive impact on other enterprises in the region that had not exercised attracting capital through bond emission. “We have shown an example to local market players of how the procedure is held and what parties participate in the process. In time, many companies will be interested in placing bonds in the market. It’s just a matter of time”.
